Bargaining Update

Bargaining 2019
The NCFA's Faculty Negotiating Team has formed. The team is led by the VP Negotiations Lisa Saxby and is made up of seven faculty, the NCFA President Les Sayer, NCFA VP of Faculty Welfare Alex Calderaru and Brian McCullough (Labour Relations Officer for ACIFA who will help advise us and represent us at the table).

174 faculty members completed the Bargaining Priorities Survey in December. A summary of the outcomes of the survey can be requested through the VP Negotiations. The team has met in November, December, and January. The team will be meeting once in February, and weekly in March to finish researching and writing proposals for additions/changes to the Collective Agreement.  Notice to open negotiations will be served in April, and it is expected to go to the table to begin bargaining after the long weekend in May. The team is hopeful that a new agreement can be reached by the expiry date of our current agreement (June 30, 2019).
If you have any questions or concerns about negotiations or the process, please contact the VP Negotiations  directly.
